The ID100 SERIES implantable transponders come in various sizes, suitable for large, medium and even the smallest species including neo natal species.
The transponder is encapsulated in special, biocompatible glass, individually pre-sterilized, and packed in bubble packs, with six adhesive bar codes attached. The indelible transponders are unique in their design, containing no soldered components (all laser bonded) and significantly less joints than our competitors transponders. This feature. in turn, creates less points of failure. They are mechanically laser coded ensuring optimum indelibility and eliminating the possibility duplicate ID’s in service.
Each of the three sizes of transponders Trovan provides come inserted in needles which in turn are mounted in a canula hub. The canula is attached to a reusable implanter via a” luer lock” fitting which ensures a firm and stable connection and implantation process.
